I am associate professor of physics and core faculty in the theoretical astrophysics program at the University of Arizona. I am interested in the physics of strong gravitational and electromagnetic fields, as well as the associated astrophysics of black holes and neutron stars. A more detailed description can be found on my research page.

I enjoy public speaking and am generally available to speak to the media. Here is a video of a public lecture I gave as part of the university's 2017 lecture series "Rethinking Reality".
I periodically do live streams where I discuss some topic and answer your questions. Sign up here to be notified when I schedule one.
