Short Bio

Jiaheng Xie is a fourth year Ph.D. candidate in the Management Information Systems Department at the University of Arizona. He is expected to graduate in May 2019.

His research interests lie in health analytics with an emphasis on medication safety. His research aims to address major challenges in medication safety – including medication nonadherence, hospital readmission, and narcotic drug misuse – by developing automated and scalable machine learning and deep learning approaches.

His prior works have been published or under review at multiple top-tier journals, including MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of American Medical Informatics Association (JAMIA), and Journal of Management Information Systems. Jiaheng Xie has also presented his work at many major conferences, including International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and Conference on Information Systems and Technology (CIST).
